1. To lock your device screen, press the Power/Lock key.
   
2. To unlock your device screen, press the Power/Lock key.
   
3. Swipe in the desired direction.

4. To set a pattern screen lock, from the home screen, swipe down from the notification bar, then tap the Settings icon.
   
5. Under MY DEVICE, tap Lock screen.
   
6. Tap Screen lock.
   
7. Tap Pattern.
   
8. Draw the desired pattern, then tap CONTINUE.
   
9. Re-draw the chosen pattern, then tap CONFIRM.
   
10. Enter the desired backup PIN, then tap CONTINUE.
    
11. Re-enter the chosen backup PIN, then tap OK.
    
12. Tap DONE.
    
13. To unlock the screen, draw the chosen pattern.
