Access and manage Wi Fi Personalization

Help your Wi-Fi give important apps priority automatically.

About Wi-Fi Personalization

Wi-Fi Personalization can help your Wi-Fi® work better by giving some apps priority based on how you use your network. It learns how you use Wi-Fi, and it adjusts priority for Work, Gaming, and Streaming connections. Let Wi-Fi Personalization set the priority for your most used connections, or you choose the order in Manual mode.

Wi-Fi Personalization is included with AT&T Fiber service when you also have AT&T WirelessSM (both services) or AT&T All-Fi Pro. You can manage personalization options in the AT&T Smart Home Manager app.

Important: Wi-Fi personalization only works with the AT&T BGW620 or BGW320 gateway models. It won’t work with older gateways or third-party Wi-Fi equipment.

Switch between Auto and Manual mode

Use Auto mode when you want Wi-Fi Personalization to set priority for your apps based on how you use your Wi-Fi. Use Manual mode when you want to choose which activity groups get priority first.

  1. Open the Smart Home Manager app.
  2. Tap Services, then Wi-Fi Personalization.
  3. Choose Auto or Manual.
  4. Select Save.

Manage your priority

Reorder priorities

  1. Open the Smart Home Manager app.
  2. Tap Services, then Wi-Fi Personalization.
  3. Choose Manual.
  4. Drag each group into the order you want, from highest to lowest priority.
  5. Tap Save to apply your changes.

Pause Wi-Fi Personalization

  1. Open the Smart Home Manager app.
  2. Tap Services, then Wi-Fi Personalization.
