Connect a computer to your Wi-Fi network

Learn how to connect Windows 10.1 computers to your home network.

Before you start, make sure your wireless switch or radio button is on.
  1. Select the Windows icon.
  2. Choose Settings, then Network & Internet.
  3. Select Wi-Fi, then Show available networks.
  4. Choose your Wi-Fi® network name and select Connect. If you plan to use that network in the future, check Connect automatically.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password in the network security key field. Most times, you can find your password on the side of your gateway.
  6. Select Next.

Not sure if you’re connected to your home Wi-Fi? Sign in to Smart Home Manager and select Connected Devices. Then, look for your computer in the listed devices.
