How Wi-Fi extenders work

Tired of Wi-Fi dead zones? AT&T Smart Wi-Fi Extenders create a mesh network spreading your Wi-Fi signal to more areas of your home. You can stream music and videos with less buffering, on more devices, and in locations you couldn't before.

AirTies 4971 uses the latest 802.11ax technology and operates in 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz ranges.

Your Wi-Fi gateway and Smart Wi-Fi Extenders use the same network info. That means you connect your device to the extenders the same way you connect to your Wi-Fi network. Just enter your Wi-Fi network name and password

You can also connect other devices like smart TVs, media players, and gaming systems to the extender using an Ethernet cable.

Check Wi-Fi gateway and extender compatibility

Smart Wi-Fi Extenders only work with compatible Wi-Fi gateways. See which one is right for your network.
  • BGW320 – AirTies 4971, 4921, and 4920
