The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal program created as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Among other things, this program can help qualified households pay for connectivity services such as wireless and internet plans. The program extends and modifies the more temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit.

The ACP can help qualified households pay for connectivity services such as internet and wireless plans with data. The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly benefit per household.

A household is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if the household income is at or below 200% of the <a href="https://acpbenefit.org/do-i-qualify/" target="_blank">Federal Poverty Guidelines</a>, or if a member of the household meets at least one of the criteria below:

	<ul>
		<li>SNAP</li>
		<li>Medicaid</li>
		<li>Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program, including at U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision schools</li>
		<li>Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)</li>
		<li>Supplemental Security Income (SSI)</li>
		<li>Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)</li>
		<li>Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits</li>
		<li><a href="https://www.fcc.gov/lifeline-consumers" target="_blank">Lifeline</a></li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year;</li>
	<li>Participates in one of these assistance programs and lives on&nbsp;<a href="https://acpbenefit.org/do-i-qualify/enhanced-tribal-benefit/#qualifying-lands" target="_blank">Qualifying Tribal lands</a>:
	<ul>
		<li>Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance</li>
		<li>Tribal TANF</li>
		<li>Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations</li>
		<li>Tribal Head Start (income-based)</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
</ol>

The easiest way to apply is to go to <a _rte_href="https://nv.fcc.gov/lifeline/?id=nv_flow&amp;ebbp=true" href="https://nv.fcc.gov/lifeline/?id=nv_flow&amp;ebbp=true" target="_blank">affordableconnectivity.gov</a>. AT&amp;T does not determine eligibility. To help speed up your enrollment, be sure to save your Application ID from the federal government&rsquo;s National Verifier. Once you are approved, call AT&amp;T at&nbsp;<a href="tel:855-496-8491">855.496.8491</a> to enroll with your National Verifier application ID. If you are already approved for Lifeline, there is no need to re-apply for ACP. You&rsquo;re automatically eligible. Let us know you already have Lifeline, we&rsquo;ll verify it and apply your ACP benefit.

The ACP benefit will appear on the next billing cycle after the benefit is applied to the customer&rsquo;s AT&amp;T account.

&quot;Household&quot; is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address as one economic unit. An &quot;economic unit&quot; is defined as &quot;all adult individuals contributing to and sharing in the income and expenses of a household.&quot; You can <a _rte_href="https://www.acpbenefit.org/do-i-qualify/what-is-a-household" href="https://www.acpbenefit.org/do-i-qualify/what-is-a-household" target="_blank">read more about how household is defined and examples here</a>.

Each eligible household may only apply the monthly ACP benefit to one service at a time. For example, if you are already receiving assistance for your wireless service, you cannot receive ACP assistance for your internet plan too. However, eligible customers can still receive Access from AT&amp;T even if they choose to apply their ACP benefit to their wireless service by applying with AT&amp;T for the&nbsp;<a _rte_href="https://www.att.com/internet/access/" href="https://www.att.com/internet/access/">Access from AT&amp;T program</a>.

The Affordable Connectivity Program can be applied to the cost of a bundle of services that includes internet or wireless service with data. If your bundle also includes a video service, you will be responsible for that portion of your bill, as well as any charges that are more than the monthly benefit.

The EBB was an emergency program created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, the ACP is a replacement and extension of the EBB program. The ACP changes the amount of assistance from $50 per month to $30 per month for participants who do not live on tribal lands. Participants on qualified tribal land will still receive $75 per month in the new version of the program. Each household can only receive one monthly Affordable Connectivity Program benefit at a time.

As of now, the FCC has no set expiration date for the program.

The federal government&rsquo;s National Lifeline Eligibility Verifier (National Verifier), managed by Universal Service Administration Company (USAC), is a centralized system that determines Lifeline and ACP eligibility. To apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program, you can access the National Verifier by visiting <a _rte_href="https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov/" href="https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov/" target="_blank">affordableconnectivity.gov</a> or calling 877.384.2575 and requesting an application be mailed to you. AT&amp;T PREPAID does not determine eligibility for ACP.

The quickest way to apply is online. In some cases, responses will be in a matter of minutes, but it&rsquo;s possible it can take several days before you receive a response.

Yes, it is possible to lose your ACP benefit on an AT&amp;T service but continue receiving service at the standard monthly rate for the plan you selected if any of the following apply to you:

&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You switch to an ineligible AT&amp;T plan

&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You transfer your ACP benefit to another participating provider

&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You use a different name with the National Verifier than you use on your AT&amp;T account

If you move while receiving the ACP benefit, you should contact the National Verifier after you move to verify ACP eligibility at your new address. After the National Verifier has reverified your benefit, you should call AT&amp;T at 866.986.0963 to check service availability at your new address.

2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; INFORMATION WE ARE REQUIRED TO SHARE WITH THE GOVERNMENT.&nbsp;AT&amp;T must transmit certain information about you, including, but not limited to your name, address, date of birth, telephone number, and last 4 digits of social security number, to the federal government&rsquo;s National Lifeline Accountability Database to confirm eligibility and enroll you in the ACP. Once enrolled in ACP, certain information about you may be transmitted to the federal government&rsquo;s ACP Administrator for participation in this program.

3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; YOU ONLY GET ONE ACP BENEFIT BUT YOU ARE FREE TO USE IT HOW YOU CHOOSE.&nbsp;There is a maximum of one ACP monthly benefit per household regardless of provider and only one ACP benefit per account. You may apply the ACP benefit to any AT&amp;T broadband service offering at the same terms available to households that are not eligible for ACP. You can also obtain Internet service supported by the ACP from any participating provider you choose. However, if you elect to move your benefit to another AT&amp;T broadband service or to another provider, you will no longer be eligible to receive an ACP monthly benefit on your current AT&amp;T service.

4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;HOW YOU MIGHT LOSE YOUR ACP-SUPPORTED SERVICE OR YOUR ACP BENEFIT.&nbsp;AT&amp;T may disconnect your ACP-supported service after 90 consecutive days of non-payment based on the due date specified on the bill. AT&amp;T may also move you to a lower priced service plan if you enter a delinquent status after a bill due date for your ACP-supported service.&nbsp; Also, if your total charges for your ACP-supported service after the ACP benefit is applied is $0/mo., you must use your ACP-supported service at least once every 30 days. If you don&rsquo;t use your service within 45 consecutive days, you will be de-enrolled from ACP, the monthly benefit will be removed from your account, and you will be charged the standard monthly rate for the plan in effect at that time. In the event that you transfer the ACP benefit to anther service or another provider, you are de-enrolled from the ACP or otherwise lose eligibility for an ACP benefit or the ACP ends, you will be charged the standard monthly rate for your current plan (without the program benefit), adjusted for the expiration of any promotions, and subject to AT&amp;T&rsquo;s general terms and conditions.

5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;TRANSFERRING YOUR ACP BENEFIT:&nbsp;If you are transferring your ACP benefit to AT&amp;T, you authorize AT&amp;T to complete the transfer on your behalf.&nbsp; After the transfer takes effect, you will no longer receive the benefit from your prior service provider. You may be subject to undiscounted rates for any service that remains with your prior service provider. Households are limited to one ACP benefit transfer per service month, certain exceptions apply.&nbsp; By clicking below, you authorize AT&amp;T to transfer your ACP benefit.
