Hiding alerts for a messages conversation
You can mute a conversation thread without deleting it. Muting the thread will disable notifications for it.
1.
From the Messages app main screen, swipe a conversation from right to left.
2.
Tap the Hide Alerts icon.
3.
To show alerts, swipe a conversation from right to left.
4.
Tap the Show Alerts icon.
5.
You've completed the steps!
