Determine your current device software version and check for updates.

Prenote infoStay current by regularly checking for software updates, which often include important security patches and performance enhancements. Before downloading updates, ensure you’re connected to a reliable Wi-Fi or cellular network for a smooth experience.

  1. From the home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar, and then tap the Settings icon.

  2. Swipe to the GENERAL tab, then tap About device.

  3. The device software version will be displayed.

  4. To check for software updates, tap Software updates.

  5. Tap Check for updates.

  6. Tap OK. Follow on-screen prompts to download and install any available updates.
