Learn about fraud call block and spam alerts

Detect and block fraud calls before they get to you with AT&T Call Protect. Plus, see onscreen warnings when a call comes from a suspicious source.


What to know

If you have a new AT&T Unlimited or Mobile Share® Plus plan, you automatically get our fraud call block and spam alerts at no extra charge. This means we’ll block calls we suspect are trying to defraud you. We identify fraud and spam calls through data analytics and network intelligence, as well as reports from others like you who have an AT&T wireless account.

You must have an HD Voice-enabled phone with eligible wireless service to enjoy AT&T Call Protect.

How to opt out

  1. Go to your myAT&T account overview and select My wireless.
  2. Choose one of the following:
    • On a smartphone: Tap Manage devices & features, and then tap the phone you want to opt out for.
    • On a tablet or computer: Scroll to and select the phone you want to opt out for. Select Manage my device and then select Get or manage add-ons.
  3. Choose AT&T Mobile Security & Call Protect.
  4. Select Opt out of AT&T Mobile Security & Call Protect to stop fraud call blocking and spam alerts.
