Help with basic TV issues

There are a number of ways to troubleshoot and fix simple U-verse TV issues. Here are a few common ways:


Reset your receiver

You can fix most basic TV issues this way, so try it first. Select and hold the POWER button on your receiver for 10 seconds to reset it.


Use the help menu on your TV

Choose the MENU button on your remote. Then select Help > Troubleshoot & Resolve. Find your problem, and follow the instructions to fix your issue.


Watch tutorials on your TV

Select the MENU button on your remote. Then choose Help > U-verse Help Center. Pick the topic that best fits your problem to get started.

View messages waiting on your TV

Sometimes we need to send you messages about your service. Here’s how you can get them directly from your TV:


  • Select the MENU button on your remote.
  • Choose Help, then Message Center.
  • Select OK to review and read your recent messages.
