Find or reset your DSL network password

Your network password is system generated and used by your modem or gateway to connect to the AT&T DSL network. Learn how to find or reset yours.

Reset network password

Whether you need to update your DSL network password on your computer or reset it for security, we’ve got you covered.
  1. Go to the DSL network password page.
  2. Enter your Member ID and select Continue.
  3. Enter the answers to your Security Questions and select Continue. Your current DSL network password displays.
  4. To get a new password, select Reset. A new system-generated password will be created and display.
  5. Update your modem or gateway with the new password:
    • If you are at your home computer, select Update Modem Now to open the AT&T Password Reset Tool and automatically update your modem’s network password.
    • If you are away from your home computer or would like to update the password manually, learn how to update the password in your modem to maintain your DSL network connection.
