Get help with DMZ+ zone devices

Having speed issues with devices in your DMZ+ zone? Try this.

BGW210 or BGW320

From a computer connected to your Wi-Fi gateway:

Go to your gateway settings.
Select Firewall and then Advanced.
Enter your Device Access Code, if asked. You can find this on a sticker on your gateway.
Turn off everything in Firewall Advanced.
Select IP Passthrough and set the following:
- Allocation Mode to Passthrough
- Passthough Mode to DHCPS-fixed
Enter the MAC address of the device to be set up in the Passthrough Fixed MAC address field.
Select Save and Restart Now.

Good to know: You may have to reboot your computer and Wi-Fi gateway to force a new IP assignment.

From a computer connected to your Wi-Fi gateway:

Go to your gateway settings and choose Settings.
Scroll to Software Version. If you have version 11.1.0.xxxx or above, continue with these steps. If you have earlier versions, you don’t need to do anything else.
Select LAN and then LAN IP Address Allocation.
Scroll to Devices. Check Device Status for one identified as DMZ device.
In Address Assignment, choose Private from Pool or Specific Private IP.
Select the Firewall tab and scroll to Edit firewall settings for this computer.
Choose Add a new user-defined application. You’ll see the Firewall Application Profile Definition window.
In Application Profile Name, enter All UDP and do the following:
- In Protocol, select UDP.
- In Port, enter 1 in From and 50999 in To.
- Select Add to List and then Back.
In Application Profile Name, enter All TCP and do the following:
- In Protocol, select TCP.
- In Port, enter 1 in From and 50999 in To.
- Select Add to List and then Back.
In Select a computer, choose the device you want to forward all traffic to. Or, enter the IP address of the device.
In Hosted Applications, select All UDP and All TCP, then Add them.
Select Save.

Good to know: You may have to reboot your computer and Wi-Fi gateway to force a new IP assignment.
