Starting on or after February 18, 2026, AT&T ActiveArmor advanced mobile security will add new protection features and have a price increase.


What’s changing

AT&T ActiveArmor® advanced mobile security is getting even better. Starting February 18, 2026, the monthly price will go from $3.99 to $7 for each phone line. With this change, you’ll keep all your current advanced security features and get new ones, too. These include up to $1 million in Identity Fraud Reimbursement and real-time alerts for your financial, credit, and payday loan activity.

The new features

Up to $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance

If you become a victim of identity theft, this will reimburse you up to $1 million for eligible expenses such as legal fees and stolen funds.

Credit Monitoring

Stay informed with real-time alerts whenever there’s a change to your credit profile, like a new inquiry, a change in account status.

Payday Loan Monitoring

Payday loans are short-term, high-interest loans to give borrowers quick access to cash. We’ll alert you if your identity is used to apply for high-interest, short-term loans. The risks of payday loan fraud include:

  • Unauthorized debt in your name
  • Damage to your credit score
  • Financial instability due to high interest rates
  • Potential legal complications (including identity theft) if fraud isn’t promptly detected and resolved.

You don’t need to do anything. Your plan continues at the new $7 monthly price starting with your next billing period after February 18, 2026.

Downgrade to the free mobile security

With the free version, you’ll be able to keep Auto Fraud and Spam Call Blocking, Device Security, and Data Breach Alerts.

Please note, within 48 hours after you downgrade to the free version or cancel, your personal data used to perform the functions of AT&T ActiveArmor service will be removed. Once deleted, reports and alerts can’t be recovered

Just a reminder of the enhanced security protection you will lose:

  • Caller ID, so you know who’s on the other end of the line.
  • Identity Monitoring, which sends alerts if your personal information is compromised.
  • 24/7 U.S.-based expert support for identity theft recovery and help replacing documents if your wallet is lost or stolen.
  • Public Wi-Fi Protection (VPN) encrypts your data when you use public Wi-Fi.
  • Safe Browsing that blocks harmful websites so you can surf with confidence.
  • Safe Shopping that will block suspicious websites to help protect your money.

Heads up: Uninstalling the app doesn’t cancel the service.
