Reset passcode for your wireless account

Reset or change your wireless security passcode online. It’s different from your password for signing in, and it’s not related to your device or voicemail.

Learn how to reset or change your passcode

  1. Go to Profile > Sign-in info.
  2. In the Wireless passcode section, select Forgot your passcode? or Change passcode.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new security passcode information.

Reset your passcode when you can’t complete sign-in

  1. Go to myAT&T and enter your ID and password.
  2. On the Confirm Your Security Passcode page, select Forgot passcode?.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new security passcode information.

Wireless account passcode vs. password for signing in

  • The wireless account security passcode is different from the password you use to sign in.
  • Your passcode is 4-8 characters and may be all numbers. Every wireless account has a passcode, designed to increase the security of the account.
  • Your password is used to sign in to myAT&T with your AT&T Access ID. The password is a combination of letters, numbers, and/or symbols. Follow the prompts if you forgot your password.
  • Your wireless passcode is different from your device passcode. You can call us at 800.331.0500 to get help for device unlock.
