Get info on Fixed Wireless Internet equipment

Learn more about the equipment that powers your Internet.

Equipment info

You get Fixed Wireless Internet thanks to 3 pieces of equipment:
  • An outdoor antenna,
  • An antenna power supply, and
  • A Wi-Fi® gateway.
Here’s some background on what they are and what they do.

Outdoor antenna
The outdoor antenna is a receiver mounted outside your home. It uses a 4G LTE wireless signal to provide high-speed broadband service through an Ethernet cable.

Antenna power supply
Your antenna power supply:
  • Provides power to the outdoor antenna
  • Sends and receives broadband data from your Wi-Fi gateway
  • Plugs into a regular electrical outlet
  • Has 2 Ethernet connections on the back: 1 for the antenna wall jack and the other for your Wi-Fi gateway.
Wi-Fi gateway
  • Provides wired and Wi-Fi internet to your home
  • Plugs into a regular electrical outlet
  • Connects to the antenna power supply

Heads up: You can connect your internet-ready devices through the Wi-Fi network or use the Ethernet ports on the back of the gateway.
