    Very Poor service and experience! I entered the store at 11:10 exactly with another customer. We were both told that we required an appointment. We both gave our phone numbers and was told to wait outside. We both gave our numbers and names with the other gentleman giving his first. I seen at least 4 employees inside with customers. After furnishing our information we both left together. I then sat outside in 90 degree weather and waited. During the next 40 minutes I watched as three set of customers left the business. At 11:40 and covered in sweat, I once again entered the business as was told it will be several more minutes before my questions could be answered. I was informed that there were two people a head of me. I then asked were all the other employees had gone. I was informed they were all on their break, and notification calls would go out when they returned. Long breaks after only 40 minutes of work is poor, while we were expected to stay outside in high temperatures. Poor Poor Poor!

    With the changing environment with guidelines with COVID-19 we have made adjustments to our procedures. We hope that if you give us another chance and that we have made it right. We recommend setting up an appointment as those do go ahead of walk in customers. We are aggressively seeking employees and if you have any friends and family seeking a job and you think they would be a great fit please refer them to www.att.jobs.     Per Sect. 508.3.1.3 of the Domestic Mail Manual (DMM):

    "No part of a mail receptacle may be used to deliver any matter not bearing postage, including items or matter placed upon, supported by, attached to, hung from, or inserted into a mail receptacle. Any mailable matter not bearing postage and found as described above is subject to the same postage as would be paid if it were carried by mail."

    Despite this law, Jordan Bartlett apparently found it acceptable to drop these flyers into mailboxes on S Glenwood Ave, including into mailboxes of homes that are empty. I'm sure it won't be long before these flyers wind up as litter in the street.

    Very poor experience and store procedures. When I checked in I was told to wait in my car until someone contacted me. After waiting an HOUR I returned to inquire about the wait. It was then that I learned I could make an appointment for a visit. It would have been much better customer service had 1. I had been told how many people were ahead of me 2. I had been told making an appointment was an option. Very poor service and communication

    We apologize about the experience you had. We will make sure to touch base with each representative to ensure they are offering an appointment when checking customers in. Appointments and online pickup orders do take priority over walk in customers. Sometimes if multiple appointments check in that can cause wait times to increase for walk-in customers and it can be difficult to predict if that will occur as some appointments also do not show up. We appreciate the feedback as well and will pass along to leadership.

    Very poor customer service! We waited in our car for 2 hours and my husband went in to see what was going on and was told that the system was down but nothing about to come back another day. We left after 2 hours and other people were still waiting in their car!!!!

    We apologize about the wait time to see a representative. Appointments and online pickup orders do take priority over walk-ins. We encourage our customers to schedule appointments by either calling the store or online at att.com. Wait times can vary depending on each customer and questions they may have about their services.

    First, I'd like to provide some background context which led up to this terrible store experience (2410 W Wabash Avenue, Springfield, IL 62704) on Monday, 4/5/2021 between 5-5:30pm. I took advantage of a promotional trade in offer through the AT&T at Sam's club. On March 20, I called the trade in department at AT&T because I had neither received a shipping label from Sam's or AT&T to send my phones in. I spoke to a rep in this dept and customer service who informed me the easiest option at this point in time would be to take my phones and drop off at the closest AT&T store. I arrived at this Wabash store to drop off my phones with my brand new baby in tow after driving 30 mins into town.
    Upon arrival I was greeted by Brooke. When asked how I could be helped I said I need to drop phones off. And she quickly said I couldn't do that, I had to ship them in. I started to explain my story and the difficulty I had been having and she quickly cut me off advising again I had to ship them ....and then I had to go to Sam's. When I tried to explain my story again about talking to customer service and that I was instructed to come to this store she cut me off, clearly not wanting to help me but just "get rid of me". She said repeatedly I would need to ship them in or go to Sam's. I asked her to call customer service, She refused. I asked to speak to her manager, and was told I could request a call back from a manager within 72 hours, because one was not available. Finally my last option was to "check in" and wait to talk to a rep to "see" if they could help me. The wait was estimated to be over an hour with 5 people in front of me (and remember, I have my brand new less than 1 month old baby with me.)
    Finally I agreed to check in and said while waiting I would call AT&T customer service and talk to a manager there. She said "that's fine" and then advised that I would have to wait in the car due to COVID regulation. I questioned this because just a few weeks prior my husband and I were allowed to shop in the store for more than 30 mins and not asked to leave. She said that's not allowed either (later I logged onto AT&T's website for this store's location, and in-store shopping is allowed) and that I would still need to wait in my car. She then went to get a manager who I was surprised to see considering she told me a manager was not available. And he asked me to leave. I asked if he would be able to help me and he said no that he was "with" another customer. He advised if I would not leave he would call the police. I left and continued waiting on the phone for customer service. I then reached "Dan" on the customer service line and he was very helpful and apologized for the inconvenience and said the store should have been able to help me. I really appreciated how DAN handled the call and heard my story and was very sorry for how difficult this has been. This Springfield store was so dismissive and without all care about my difficult and troublesome situation. They did not want to hear me out, but only make me wait longer or get rid of me and pass me on to someone else by calling customer service or going back to Sam's Club. I am so upset by this store. I cried the whole way home feeling put out and dismayed because all I wanted to do was get these phones dropped off, which the original customer service rep shared would be so easy. On my way home, Brooke called and asked if I was ready to come into the store, and I shared that customer service advised me to file a complaint on their store. And her response was, "Ok, sounds great." I hope the store director reads this feedback and has Brooke call me with an apology. In the world today, we hear and see so much encouragement for people to be more kind to one another, but this person was completely without kindness or compassion and only wanted to follow "protocol" and regulation and not see "me" and hear the poor experience I was having with the company she worked for.
