My AT&T bill has been incorrect since I completed the last plan update in May 23, 2020. During my account analysis that was documented within my discussion with an AT&T sales representative, it is quoted that I will receive a Wells Fargo Employee 28% discount on the Elite Everything plan which included a Buy one Get One Apple Watch. My expectation to enter a new agreement was to reduce my payment from $273.67 to $255.06 (which was quoted to include taxes/insurance).
Due to a misquote by the AT&T sales representative, I have been paying over $325 completing the plan change (a 28% overage). I have also been billed $11/month for what was supposed to be the "Free Apple Watch."
Since the update was completed mid-cycle, I received my initial bill after 2 weeks. As soon as I viewed my bill, I immediately drove to the AT&T store to discuss the inaccurate bill and monthly payment.
The AT&T store manager that I spoke to try to resolve my bill and/or return the devices, informed me that I would have to resolve the billing issue with customer service and would most likely receive my 28% discount including reimbursement after waiting 3-4 months, stating “You will receive a large lump sum credit by month 4 of the plan.”
According to customer service, this was an inaccurate statement by the store manager. I learned from AT&T's cancellation department that according to AT&T policy, the store manager is actually responsible to resolve payment issues such as my situation.
I returned to the store to resolve that payment issues with the store manager, and again refused to help resolve my billing issue, continuing to refer me back to customer service to resolve my payment issue and then eventually stopped responding to my calls.
After months of receiving no resolve by the AT&T store manager or by customer service, I reached out a separate AT&T location store manager and learned that the store manager that I had been trying to resolve my payment issues had been fired for defrauding customers. She referred me to the new to the new AT&T store manager.
In my first call with the new AT&T store manager, he stated "it has been too long and since you've been making your payments, I'm not willing to help you." After multiple phone discussions and texts with the new manager, and after providing him an image of the initial Account Analysis, I was informed that he would be submitting a request for an $1800 reimbursement credit. After continued text responses that he was following up with the appropriate parties to provide the $1800 credit, the manager eventually ghosted me - no further responses in the last 30 days.
Yesterday, I reached out the customer service again to receive confirmation that the supposed $1800+ reimbursement credit was never requested by the store manager.
It is my expectation to be fully reimbursed for the payment overage of $1881 (including any future overage charges of $75/month for the promised Wells Fargo Employee 28% discount, and the additional $11/month charges for the “Free” Apple Watch.)Respuesta de AT&Tmarzo 31, 2022Hello Ben R. We have been customer for at least 15 years. And this is the worst service we have ever experienced. At your Blakeney Branch in Charlotte, NC we were offered a promotion deal. Not knowing on our part the promotion was actually cancel and the branch never did their part to extend it, to offer it to my family. For the last 10 months and counting we have not receive our 35 dollar discount/difference in our bill. In additional we never receive our Ipad for free. We actually had to pay for it and that was in the promotion as well, receiving a ipad. So far with out the ipad totally we have over paid on our account $2,100. We have called and talk to the manager of that branch and have text message that he was taking care of it. We have been Texting since April and we still have no solution. No one has help resolve this problems. There are notes on our account for all the calls and evaluation. I need some one to call and resolve this problem. 704-206-9597. Even though this store is farther away from me than the Indianland store, I will use it because Indianland store was not helpful.
