Check to see if there is a sufficient mobile signal on the phone by looking at the signal bars in the status bar. The more bars that are displayed, the better the connection.
Check the Wi-fi signal strength. If you are connected to a Wi-fi network, look at the Wi-fi icon in the status bar. If no Wi-fi icon is shown, you may need to connect to a Wi-fi network.
If your Wi-fi icon has an exclamation point, there is a problem with your connection. You may need to reset your network settings, shown in solution 3.
