S Pen

Write memos on the screen, attach memos to contacts, write and draw on screenshots, use smart select, S Pen remote, access S Pen settings and access Air view.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
  1. Your S Pen is located in the bottom right side of your phone. Push the S Pen to click out of place, then pull out to use. Air command will automatically open on your screen.

  2. HANDWRITE MEMO: Select Create note with the pen.

    Note: You can handwrite a memo without waking the device. From the Always On Display, remove the S Pen and Write memo on screen will appear automatically.

  3. Write your memo, then select Save with the pen to save your memo.

    Note: Your memo will be automatically saved to S Note. To access S Note, from the home screen swipe up or down from the center of the screen to access the Apps tray. Select the Samsung folder, then select the S Note app.

  4. WRITE/DRAW ON SCREENSHOTS: From the Air command screen, select Screen write with the pen. After the screenshot is captured you can write or draw on it.

  5. SMART SELECT: With Smart select, you can capture selected portions of the screen. From the Air command screen, select Smart select > desired outline shape > select and drag the outline across the screen to select the desired image capture.

  6. CREATE & SEND GIFS: From the Smart select screen, select Gif. Select and drag the outline across the screen to select the desired image capture, then select Record.

    Note: In order to create an animation, you must be capturing a moving image, such a video or GIF.

  7. Select Stop to stop the recording, then select Share icon and follow the prompts to share the gif through a desired app.

  8. S PEN SETTINGS: Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon > Advanced features > S Pen > edit settings as desired. Here you can access S Pen Remote settings.

  9. AIR VIEW: Air view allows you to preview information, extend text or enlarge pictures by hovering your pen over the screen. Select Air view to learn more or select the switch to turn Air view on or off.
