1. From the home screen, tap Messaging.
   
2. Press the Menu key.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap Push messages to enable and disable push messages from the network.
   
5. To change the display style, scroll to "Display", and adjust the desired settings.
   
6. To change the notification ringtone, scroll to "Notification settings", then tap Select ringtone.
   
7. Tap the desired ringtone, then tap OK.
   
8. To restore default messaging settings, press the Menu key.
   
9. Tap Restore default settings.
   
10. Tap OK.
