Add your Google account to sync Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Google Maps, and more.

  1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google-based services on your device.

  2. From the home screen, press the Menu key.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Scroll to, then tap Add account.

  5. Tap Google.

  6. Tap the desired option.
    Note: This tutorial selects 'Existing'. If you need a Google account, tap New and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit www.gmail.com.

  7. Enter the required Google account email address and password.

  8. Tap the Next icon.

  10. If Join Google+ is displayed, tap Not now.
    Note: To set up Google+ later, tap Apps > Google+.

  11. Edit sync settings as desired, then tap the Next icon to complete acount setup.
