1. Cortana is a digital, personal assistant capable of adapting to your personality and interests over time.
   Note: A Microsoft account is required to use Cortana.
   
2. From the home screen, tap Cortana. Cortana can also be accessed from any screen by tapping the Search icon.
   
3. In the type your name field, enter the Desired name, and then tap the Go icon.
   
4. Tap the Play icon to hear Cortana say the given name, then tap sounds good.
   
5. Tap next.
   
6. Tap the ask me anything field. To initiate a voice search, tap the Microphone icon.
   
7. Enter the desired search term.

8. Tap the Go icon.
   
9. The results are displayed.
   
10. To turn Cortana on and off or to change Cortana settings, from the Start screen, swipe to the left and then tap Settings > Cortana > On/Off switch.
