App troubleshooting

  1. To stop a running app that is not working properly, tap the Start key.

  2. Swipe in from the right edge of the device to bring up the Quick Settings menu, then toggle off Tablet mode.

  3. From the task bar, touch and hold the Desired app icon until a menu appears.

  4. Tap Close window to close the app.

  5. The App is now closed. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen to bring up Quick Settings menu, then toggle Tablet mode on to return to the Start screen.

  6. To check for app updates or turn on auto update, from the Start screen, swipe to and tap the Windows Store tile.

  7. From the Windows Store Home Screen, tap the User icon.

  8. Tap Downloads and updates.

  9. Tap Check for updates.

  10. To remove an app, from the Start screen, tap the Apps list icon.

  11. Touch and hold Desired app.

  12. Tap the Uninstall icon.

  13. Tap Uninstall.

  14. The app is no longer installed. To reinstall the app, go to the Start screen and tap the Windows Store tile.

  15. Tap the Search field to enter the desired app, then tap the Search icon.

  16. Tap the desired app.
