1. To access messaging settings, from the Start screen, select the Messaging tile.
   
2. Select the Menu icon.
   
3. Select Settings.
   
4. The message center number is visible in the SMS center number field.
   Note: Changing the message center number will cause issues with incoming and outgoing messages.
   
5. To edit the emergency alert settings, select Change emergency alerts settings.
   
6. Change the Desired settings.
   Note: Learn more about Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).
   
7. To change notifications settings, swipe down from the Notification bar and select All Settings
   
8. Select System.
   
9. Select Notifications & actions.
   
10. Scroll to, then select Messaging.
    
11. Turn the toggle On or Off to activate or deactivate Notifications.
    
12. Select the Notification sound menu to adjust.
    
13. Select the Desired sound.
    
14. Select On/Off Notification banners and vibrate settings.
