INSTRUCTIONS & INFO

Prenote info

The term off-hook varies depending on the device the customer is using. For most corded phones, off-hook refers to simply lifting the handset off the base to enable dial tone. For most cordless phones, off-hook refers to pressing the Flash, Phone, or Talk key on the phone to get a dial tone.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

• Adjust phone volume
• Hide or show caller ID
• Place or receive a call

Adjust phone volume

Use your home phone's volume adjustment if available.

Note: Alternately, the volume of the AT&T Wireless Home Phone can be adjusted if necessary. Six volume levels are available (level 1 to level 6) with the default setting at level 3.

1. Perform the Off-Hook action with your Home Phone connected to the Wireless Home Phone.
2. Once Dial Tone is established, enter the desired number to place a call.
3. While on a call, press ** or ## to enter Volume Setting Mode.
4. Press * to decrease volume.
5. Press # to increase volume.
6. To exit Volume Setting Mode, press any other key or wait five (5) seconds.

Caller ID for incoming calls

The AT&T Wireless Home Phone only supports calling number identification, so by default only the calling number is displayed with Caller ID. However, contact names stored in your home phone's own address book may display for incoming calls.

NOTE: The AT&T Wireless Home Phone is only passing the phone number to your home phone.

Caller ID for outgoing calls

The default setting of sending your own number on outbound calls cannot be changed on the Wireless Home Phone device. By default, your mobile number will be sent on outbound calls unless an outbound caller ID blocking feature is added to your account.

Block outgoing Caller ID on a per call basis

Dial #31# (plus the 10-digit number) on a per call basis to block outgoing Caller ID. *67 may be available in some markets. Dial *67 (plus the 10-digit number) when available.

Place a Call (Local, Long Distance, International)

1. Perform the off-hook action with your home phone that is connected to the AT&T Wireless Home Phone (WF721) device.
2. Once a dial tone is established, enter the desired number to call.
• Wireless Home Phone requires 10-digit dialing, even for local calls.
• If dialing an international number, verify an International Dialing feature is on the account. Ensure the correct dialing pattern is being used to place international calls.
3. Wait several seconds for the call to be initiated.

Release a call

To end an active call, press the End key or place the phone back on its base.
