1. From the home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
   
2. Tap the Menu icon.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap Notifications to toggle Messaging notifications on/off.
   
5. Edit additional settings as desired. To restore default settings, tap the Menu icon.
   
6. Tap Restore default settings.
   
7. To view and edit emergency alerts, from the Messaging inbox, tap the Menu icon.
   
8. Tap Emergency alerts.
   
9. Emergency alerts will display on this screen. To edit emergency alert settings, tap the Menu icon.
   
10. Tap Settings.
    
11. Toggle options on/off as desired.
