You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your AT&T Connected Life plan anytime.
Get started
Manage your monthly essential or professional plan from the Connected Life app or sign in to your online account.
Use the Connected Life app
Open the app and select Menu (≡) to open your Settings.
Tap your profile to open the Accounts screen.
Select Manage subscription.
Sign in to your account when prompted.
Select Subscriptions to open Features and benefits.
Choose whether to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan.
Manage online
Go to your Connected Life account. Sign in, if asked.
Select Subscriptions on the My account screen to open Features and benefits.
Choose whether to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan.
Upgrade to professional
If you have the essential plan, you can switch to the professional plan (with professional monitoring by Abode) anytime. You’ll get a prorated credit for any part of your previous plan that you haven’t used.
To upgrade:
Tap Upgrade on the Features and benefits screen. You’ll find it in the professional monitoring column.
Confirm the subscription price and upgrade request.
Follow the prompts to set up professional monitoring. This includes reviewing alarm permit requirements, creating an alarm PIN, and designating a secondary emergency contact.
You’ll get an email confirming your upgrade.
Downgrade to essential
If you have a professional plan, you can switch to the essential plan anytime. You’ll keep all the features of your current plan until the end of your current bill period. Then, your service will convert to the essential plan. You’ll no longer have access to 24/7 professional monitoring from Abode or qualify for discounts on your homeowner’s insurance premium.
To downgrade:
Tap Downgrade on the Features and benefits screen. It’s in the essential monitoring column.
Confirm your selection to downgrade.
You’ll get an email confirming your plan change.
Cancel your plan
If you no longer want to continue with your monthly service plan, you can cancel it anytime. Your subscription will be cancelled at the end of your current bill period. Your plan will convert to “no tier,” and you’ll lose access to all features except basic arming and disarming capabilities.
To cancel:
Tap Cancel on the Features and benefits screen. It’s located under your current plan in the comparison table.
Confirm your choice to cancel. You’ll see a message confirming the date your plan will end.
You’ll get an email confirming you canceled your monthly service plan.
