While connected to WiFi or another network, look for a notice from your carrier about installing a cellular plan, and tap it. The notice can appear in your Notifications screen, the main Settings scroll, or under the Cellular Data section of Settings.

Tap Continue and follow the on-screen prompts to download your eSIM.
Within the Settings app, tap Cellular Data.

Tap Add a New Plan.
If you do not currently have any plans set up, you may skip this step.
Select Use QR Code.
Use your camera to scan the QR code and follow the on-screen prompts to finish activation.
You can also transfer your eSIM from another iPad using Bluetooth by tapping Transfer iPad Plan.
Place your current iPad you'd like to use for setup next to your new iPad.

From your current iPhone, tap Continue on the Set Up New iPad pop-up.
Position the viewfinder of your current iPad over the image on your new iPad to authenticate your connection.
Tap Set Up for Me on your current iPad, and follow the on-screen prompts.
When prompted, select your current device on the Set Up eSIM screen and follow the prompts to transfer your eSIM.
