My elderly parents finally decided to get a smartphone in order to be able to make video calls with my and my daughter, who live in Maryland. They have been Verizon customers for years, so they went there and came home with a Samsung Galaxy phone. They were provided no help or guidance in how to use the phone and the salesperson said he was “too busy” and they should look up help videos on YouTube. My parents are 76 and 80 years old! YouTube means nothing to them! After 12 days of frustration, they decided to go to AT&T and get an iPhone since we all have iPhones thru AT&T in Maryland and could help them. They made an appointment and showed up and their salesperson, Storm, was there waiting for them! He spent 2.5 HOURS with my parents and helped them set up an iCloud account, showed them email, FaceTime, all the settings, and how to text. They called me via FaceTime when they got home and there was no confusion! Thank you, Storm, for spending so much time with them and providing fabulous customer service during these difficult COVID times! We were hit by a drunk driver and luckily nothing too horrible happened to us. However our phones had some major issues. Insurance needed our receipts. Unfortunately where we bought them shut down. Apparently the old store was not good at record keeping. After a lot of digging from one employee here, she was able to find one! I was grateful for their hard work and diligence in helping us out.
