Absolute liars and thieves. I was planning on switching to another provider after buying a new phone outright somewhere else since they won't sell you one there. The salesman, who royally screwed up my mother's plan the visit before, gave me a TOTAL PAYMENT OFFER of 48.75 a month. I figured that was only a few dollars more than I would of paid at the competitor's business so I would stay. I have been charged almost DOUBLE the last three payment cycles! After calling the WRONG NUMBER THEY PROVIDED ME to take care of it, I am leaving them in a few days like I should of before. Could I get the money refunded to me since they stole it from me? Not so easy! I'm currently waiting on a call I doubt I will get which was PROMISED today but I'm not holding my breath. I can't wait to leave this incompetent business that's being ran by salesman who should be picking up garbage as opposed to doing the terribly bad job they do. Walked in to upgrade a phone. I was #4 on the screen. There were 6 employees in store. 4 staff was helping customers. The manager and women named Mariah were sitting at the table the whole 2 hours I was there. Neither the manager or the lady did not offer to help the people waiting for hours. Sean, the guy that helped me was great. We have been coming here since they opened and have been customers of AT&T for over 10yrs. We do understand that with the last 2yrs retail brick and mortar has struggled. But the issues we have with our account since we visited this store on Dec 14th have been overwhelming.
We went to the store to trade in 1 phone and upgrade 2 lines to Iphone 13s. We got two watches as well.
The young salesman assured us that our bill would only go to 280.00 and when we were leaving he dropped a blue credit card sized new sim card in our bag and said, "just stick this in any phone that you have and it will only cost you like 10 dollars". We thought it was some sort of prepaid card maybe. My wife placed it into her wallet and we forgot about it.
after christmas when the phones and watches were given we receieved our first bill. THere has been several problems.
1. One of the Iphones will not receive any data. Even technical support cannot resolve it and it has to do with a sim card issue that was incorrectly entered.
2. Our phone plan was changed from its orginal. It was never discussed or explained to us. It was just changed.
3. After speaking to customer care, the card that was given to us was a sim card for another line that was added to our account with no phone attached. Never discussed or told to us about.
4. The Iphone 13 that couldnt receive data was due to the issue with the new line and new sim that was totally screwed up and now the phone needs a totally new Sim.
5. The Salesman entered us for a union discount. (assuming to cover the increase) We arent union members nor did we ask for the discount. It didnt save us any money anyway.
6. When we returned to the store to return our Iphone XR this sales clerk didnt speak to us at all. took the phone looked at it asked for our account info and handed us a receipt. He wasnt rude, but he definitley didnt want to help us.
7. The Iphone XR that we traded in was supposed to be a 850.00 dollar credit. That was incorrect and it was not what was told to us initially by the first sales clerk.
8. One of our phones was entered into its own group with its own plan. Never discussed with us or explained. Its still an ongoing issue get fixed.
9. Our bill increased hundreds of dollars. To which we didnt budget for and our now stuck with trying to work with customer care to fix.
10. There are several technical support tickets on our account trying to fix all of these issues that all started after our visit to the store.
This has been weeks of trouble for us. Several hours on the phone, and investigation started on AT&Ts part. Im not sure what happened here. I wrote a review earlier about AT&T giving them a 1 star. Since then I was contacted by the area manager (Derrick) wanting to know what the issue was. I explained the issue and he was concerned that a customer had a bad experience. When I returned to the store everything was just like Derrick had said it would be. As soon as I walked in there was a team working on the phone. The store manager Brian along with sales consultant Chad got the phone working. This was no I phone but the older flip phone the one nobody uses anymore. So it doesn't matter what the phone cost those guys went out of their way to give a great service. Some companies have a feedback section and you read reviews good and bad but no replies from the business. Derrick does read the reviews for his stores and takes action. Glad to see some business still take pride in customer service. Give them a chance. I know they got my business. If I could delete my earlier review I would, I stuck my foot in my mouth while I was mad. It all worked out because of a great team.
