There are those we encounter that make some effort and then there are those who go far beyond the usual expectations for customer service. That...is Cody Ellis! I had been misled by a representative in a Wal-Mart location which caused me to have a phone bill that was triple what I had been paying. From the moment we walked up to Cody,he was willing to empathize, educate and switch me to an unlimited plan.
Cody was extremely knowledgeable of the plans,especially the new ones. He gave me a plan I should have had from the beginning. He reiterated to me that my first bill would reflect the prorated amount from my other bill so I wouldn't be taken off guard. His demeanor was extremely helpful and he delivered excellence in the manner in which he helped me.
Why do some people go above and beyond the call of duty and others merely tell you untruths for their own benefit? It must be a matter of honor for some and I was indeed, most fortunate to be helped by such a young man whose impeccable honor was exhibited in every way.

Don’t bother. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic the sales lady seemed mystified and put out that I would ask her to wear a mask. After her obvious hesitation and eye roll I relieved her of my (apparently unreasonable) request and told her not to bother. I left with no further interaction.
AT&T on Coley Road cannot post signage that is aimed at serving first responders (of which I am one) and be ignorant of the current health crisis. They got the numbers on my phone mixed up on Friday 7/17/20 and made me wait 2 hours to fix the mistake. I had come in at 9:05 right after opening because I have several risk factors for covid and I wanted to go when the store would be the cleanest. I had called the day before and told them I was coming in when they opened because of the risk factors I have. The girl asked if I was the one that called the day before and I answered yes, so they were aware of my risk factors for covid. I could not afford the taxes up front so I needed to wait until the first to get the new phone. I went out side to check my phones and realized the guy had made a mistake and came back in. They made me wait 2 hours for a mistake the guy made. They kept saying that they had to wait on the other customers first when I was actually the 3rd customer in the store when they opened. When I asked for a manager, the guy said that he was in the middle of a traction and could not help me. The employee said this through 3 more customers. I finally asked another man that had come out of the back if he was the manager and he said that the manager was not there. He told the 2 employees to get to me next. It was a very bad experience and put me at-risk because people were wearing masks below their nose and some would take them off during the entire check out process.
