I stopped in the store today to get help recovering $352.32 rollover amt due to 3G ending. I never recd notice of 3G ending. I have been a customer with AT&T for 20+ yrs. After informing the first customer service rep she got with another employee who approached me saying “my supervisor said you are SOL and the money is gone”. Just appalling and callous! Insouciant, and demeaning experience from Len. As readers can see I have given a glowing report about my 1st visit here. I enjoy transferring photos from my phone to my laptop, and as I am very itinerant internationally it is a major means of communicating with friends and family. I have had no problem transferring files previously from 2 AT&T phones, and 2 cameras previously using a USB cable, but once in which case upon visiting the rep in Thailand at the store it was immediately solved by a replacement cable. After trying to do so the operation was not completed, my lap top indicated thet it could not find the device. I tried researching the problem, and resolving it myself with no success. I don't know much about this, but could think of only 2 variables, the supplied cable's specs couldn't pass the information efficiently, or the program didn't download properly. So I returned to the store for a consultation, and professional help. I explained the situation and added that the phone itself WAS CHARGING FINE, and I'd have bought another nearer to home but wished not to purchase one and have to return it. Now I'm hoping for some critical thinking from Len. He said I don't know about it. Then said I could buy another one. I said fine let's try it now on my PC which I had brought along. Len then grabbed a used one off a table, attached it to my Phone and plugged it in and saw that it was charging and declared it working. WHAT? Was he listening, did he care? I then plugged it into my PC, and it failed to connect, Len turned away, and said I don't know, go to Best Buy. I packed up the kit, and walked past len, now engaged with the solitary new client to arrive, and fighting back frustration, and asked Len if there was a way to check if the program to the phone had downloaded completely. He replied, I don't know. I am new to Myrtle Beach, so I asked him which way to Best Buy? He pointed dismissively with index finger through the door, and said That way. I asked him if it were in the same Building, and he replied again I don't know. I'm still working on the problem today, Christmas is near, and though my far way family won't receive photos in the season's spirit of Jesus I forgive you Len. Geat mgr. and associate Store. I just moved here to Myrtle Beach, and had to repalce my phone, as every penny counts, I went low end, and felt shoddy about that. Chauncy an associate, got me a phone and made the time and effort to check if there were any available discounts which there were. I got out with spending a third of what I had expected to pay.
