I told Cody that I was on FirstNet. “Wait here,” he directed me, leaving me at the front meeting spot by the door as he went to go ask someone about how to do the transaction. Returning to the counter, he told me to come over to him. So it was that I was perhaps a bit nonplussed by Cody’s ack of soft skills, when straight-up told me that I was wrong in my assessment of my phone’s failure to take a charge, telling me that it was the cord. Sure, that would normally be the problem. But I had just said that it wouldn’t stay connected to any Lightning cord to charge. I started to argue, and said, “You know what? Just let me deal with someone else.”
He put me outside to wait, telling me that they would text me when ready. I reminded him that my phone wasn’t charged.
10 or 15 minutes later, another guy talked with me. Nice enough, but he told me to give him my ID. Guys. Soft skills are so easy. “May I see your ID, please?” buys you so much.
New guy tried to upsell me on a $1200 iPhone 12 before giving me the URL to activate my insurance from home. We tried from the store, but the little AT&T webbook laptop on display wouldn’t connect to that URL from the store. - February 24, 2021

Two representatives helped me. Very patient with a complicated process. Thinking and working from the perspective of the customer. I especially appreciate Cameron’s sincere attitude and hard work. Great Service from Ethan but The worst service from Drew, who was apparently the supervisor when we went in. He made very rude and snide remarks, i.e. "I thought we had already talked about this!". When asked just how to back up an old phone on the computer then transfer to the new phone.
