Phone number not recognized while registering account

Find out why your phone number might not be recognized when registering for an account.

Reasons why a number may not be recognized

You entered either:

  • A telephone number for new service that has just recently been established.
    In this case, please try again to register your telephone number in a few days.
  • A telephone number that is billed under a different, main telephone number.
    When you register the main billed telephone number on your bill, any other telephone numbers also billed with it are included. You don't need to register them individually. You only need to register telephone numbers for which you receive a separate bill. (The main billed telephone number is shown at the top of your paper bill.)
