An Individual Responsibility User (IRU) is an employee who has a wireless account in their name, and they're responsible for the bill. The account is attached to their employer's Foundation Account Number (FAN). This provides benefits like business customer service and discounts.
FYI: Exchanges can only be processed at company-owned retail stores.
If you paid a security deposit, it may take up to two billing cycles to be reimbursed. If you cancel your account, we use your security deposit to pay any account balance you have. After all final charges have posted to your account, we refund to you any remaining credit balance.

An AT&T Certified Restored device may have been opened or used. We put these devices through a series of tests and inspections. If the device passes these, it will be restored or remanufactured.
Certified Restored devices must look like new and have original parts, unlike AT&T Certified Pre-owned devices.
AT&T Certified Pre-owned devices may contain a mixture of original or non-original parts and may be up to four years old.
Our warranty
At AT&T, we back our Certified Restored devices with our standard 14-day return period, as well as a 90-day warranty on phones and accessories. If we receive a device as a replacement through AT&T device protection, the warranty period is 1-year.
