Add people to your Connected Life account

To let someone else use your AT&T Connected Life home, add them to your account. Once you add them, they can sign in to the Connected Life app on their own device. As a secondary user, they can turn the system on or off, watch live or recorded video, check what’s happened in the app, get alerts, create their own device groups, set up automations, and change their own notifications.

Primary user

From the Connected Life app:

  1. Select Menu (≡).

  2. Tap Add people below your profile.

  3. Select Invite new user or the + in the top right corner.

  4. Enter a first and last name, then tap Continue.

  5. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite to join your Connected Life home, then tap Send. They’ll receive an email with instructions to download the Connected Life app and get started with setup.

  6. You’ll get an email confirmation when the secondary user accepts your invitation.

FYI: If the person you’re inviting has already created an account with their email address, contact the Abode support team for Connected Life.

Secondary user

To get started:

  1. You’ll receive an email from the account owner inviting you to join their Connected Life home and set up your own account in the Connected Life app.

  2. Download the AT&T Connected Life app to your device.

  3. Select Not the account owner? to sign in.

  4. On the welcome screen, select Get started.

  5. Confirm your details, enter your phone number, and tap Confirm details.

  6. Create a password and tap Sign up.

  7. If desired, enable Connected Life to send you notifications and/or critical alerts and access your location or physical activity for automations.

  8. If desired, set up two-factor authentication and manage any other settings in the app.

  9. You’ll get a second email confirming that you’ve successfully set up your Connected Life account and can now access the account owner’s Connected Life home in the app.
