The iPhone 5 is a great phone, fast and has a ton of features with IOS8.1, couple that with Yosemite and you can handshake your phone to your mac. we have 4 in our household. always buy the new phone. we bought 2 new ones and 2 ATT Certified like new. the 2 new phones have functioned flawless the 2 refurbished failed within 4 months, one for logic board, the other the home button and battery. ATT only warranties the reforms for 3 months so we have 2 very nice paper weights and the kids are stuck with flip phones until the contract is up. the new phones have a year warranty through Apple

The first iphone5 sent had a defective microphone and I sent back within the required 14 days, Att sent another one and this one is fine! ( sent in 1 day and return was easy too)
So far the phone is working great, great camera and battery life is as advertised for this phone. also like Siri better than on old 4s.
free is great for an upgrade as these phones are expensive in our opinion. I do not need an upgrade each year for the price.

super upgrade

I went from an iPhone 3 to this one. There is a world of difference - larger screen, stays charged longer and has great new features like Siri and FaceTime. Much faster data delivery. I didn't need anything better than the 3, but boy was I wrong. Even an old timer like me will enjoy this phone.
