Assistant Manager Tyler Fields became annoyed when I decided to return a phone rather than incur a $50 charge to exchange it. He refused to accept the return and insisted that it must be returned to a corporate store, even though the phone was purchased at his store.
Both the nearby corporate store and corporate customer service confirmed that the phone must be returned to the store from which it was purchased. Mr. Fields again refused to accept the return.
I suggested that we get corporate customer service on the phone to settle the matter. Mr. Fields claimed not to have a phone number for AT&T corporate customer service.
Further, Mr. Fields said that he was not obligated to resolve AT&T customer service issues because he worked for MMS Group, not AT&T.
I pointed out that he worked in an AT&T store but he said that it wasn't his problem. He said, "It looks like it's your problem, doesn't it?"
Then he said that I brought this all on myself because I chose to return the phone instead of exchanging it.
God forbid that a customer should want to return a phone at this store! Mr. Fields will exact his revenge when customers fail to make the transactions that Mr. Fields wants them to make. - November 22, 2021

I would highly recommend you choose a different AT&T store location, their customer service was very poor. As stated by one of their sales reps, he was going throw the returned AT&T phone in the dumpster. - October 19, 2021

Terrible customer service. My son purchased a phone case and tried to return it two days later. The store manager stated that he needed a receipt to make the return, even though, he was in the store and remembered my son purchasing the phone case. Also told me that since we were using a competing carrier, he wasn't really willing to make an exception. I can't believe that he actually said that. Good luck to this ATT authorized store with this guy in charge. To top it off, he suggested that we try to return the case at an ATT corporate store, because they are more lenient. DO NOT GO HERE. Purchased an iPhone and then it broke a hour after getting home. The manager refused to return the phone even though corporate ATT states 14 day return. Manager took mask off to yell at me. Completely unprofessional and unhelpful. Kept telling me to call Apple even though everyone I talked to with ATT said it’s the stores responsibility. Do not use this authorized retailer! Please go to the corporate store at 9 and gratiot, they were a lot more helpful.
