- August 26, 20201 out of 5This would have been an easy 5* review, but unfortunately it is not. I went to this store to upgrade my phone and was helped by Edgar. He was friendly and got me exactly what I wanted. So I thought. A few days after receiving my phone I was notified by AT&T that Edgar placed insurance on my account for $15 a month. This is not something that I asked for or was informed was added. None of the paperwork I received from the store mentions this feature being added. I previously worked in a call center for AT&T as customer service. I often had people calling me asking about this same thing happening to them, and it's a common tactic for sales reps to do in order to make extra commission on sales. Occasionally customers weren't aware of this for up to 2 years costing them around $350. I'm disappointed this happened after what would have been a great experience. If you go here for service, check your bill after! It's also worth noting this isn't legal and I will be contacting the FCC.
*Edit* after receiving my bill I was also enrolled into the next program, which I specifically said I did not want.
