Reset online password

If you forgot your password, you can easily reset it in myAT&T.


Learn how to reset your password

Complete these steps from the myAT&T sign-in.

If you forgot your password
  1. Select Forgot password?
  2. Complete the Password section.
  3. Choose temporary password or security questions and follow the prompts.
  4. If you chose temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.
  5. Create your new password.

If you forgot your ID and password
  1. Select Forgot ID? > User ID & Password.
  2. Enter your contact email address.
  3. If prompted, choose how you would like to receive your ID.
  4. Enter your user ID that was sent to you.
  5. Choose temporary password or security questions and follow the prompts.
  6. If you chose temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.
  7. Create your new password.

Note: If you don’t know your contact email address or we don’t recognize it, select Forgot your contact email? and enter your info. You can also do this to find your AT&T email address.

If you have multiple IDs that use the same contact email address, your Forgot ID notification will list them all.

Shared password for AT&T user ID and AT&T email
If you have an AT&T user ID with an AT&T email address associated with it:
  • The password will be the same on att.com and att.net.
  • You can sign in with your user ID or email address to manage your account or check your email.
  • If you change your password, it changes for both your user ID and your email address. Learn more about shared passwords.
  • Remember for best security we recommend that you change your password often and use a new password each time.
