Pop-Up Blocker will stop windows that try to open automatically. Examples:
  • Pop-up and pop-under ads
  • Windows that open after a page loads
  • Windows that open when you leave a site
  • Windows that open when you close your browser

Pop-Up Blocker will allow windows that open because you clicked to go there. Examples:
  • Links that open in new windows
  • Pop-ups from any site that you add to your Allowed List
  • Press and hold the CTRL key while clicking a link to override Pop-Up Blocker and allow any pop-up windows resulting from the click
