Use AT&T Smart Home Manager
Want to use Smart Home Manager for businesses? It requires you to have AT&T Internet service with a compatible AT&T Wi-Fi gateway and it’s limited to your home Wi-Fi network.

Set up with AT&T Smart Home Manager

  1. Download the app from you device's app store or att.com/smarthomemanager.
  2. Sign in and select Network.
  3. Select Home Network Hardware.
  4. Choose Add Extender.
  5. Select your extender model.
  6. Follow the prompts.

Good to know: If you see a yellow LED light when you connect, your device can't reach speeds over 100Mbps. You'll always get the best internet speed with a wired Ethernet connection. Have an AT&T TV® device? Make sure to use a wired connection for the best TV experience.

Fix common Wi-Fi extender issues

Solid red light
Seeing a solid red light? This means that your Wi-Fi extender probably has a bad connection or is too far from your gateway. Just move the extender closer to your gateway to get a stronger signal.

Blinking green lights
Lights blinking green? Your Wi-Fi extender probably hasn’t synced with your gateway. To get it to sync:
  1. Place your extender close to your Wi-Fi gateway.
  2. Press the WPS button on the front of the gateway, then press the WPS button on the extender. The 5GHz and 2.4GHz lights will blink and then turn solid green when they successfully pair.
  3. Move the Wi-Fi extender to your desired location.
