Not very good. Don't get it if you can help it.

The features are good. It has wi-fi capability, which is nice. The picture quality is good. It has a big enough screen to see everything. The menus are good.
It freezes a lot. Mine freezes and randomly shuts down at least 3-4 times a day, even with a full battery. The menu takes a while to load sometimes.
If you have no other choice than to get this phone (as I did), I would probably say go ahead. However, if you have the option to pick say a Blackberry or a Palm brand phone, go with those instead. They will make you happier and less stressed about missing text messages, calls, etc. in the future.

Really Good Phone!

The Nokia E71x is a really good phone to have. I have had it for about a week, and so far I love it! Some people have said that the keys are too small to text, but I think it is really easy to text on the phone. I like how the power button is on the top of the phone and how you can use that to lock it or set it to vibrate, normal, etc..
It is really easy to use. The camera takes really good pictures for a 3.2 MP camera phone. It also has a video recorder so that is another plus. I like how you can set full songs for your ringtones from a memory card. Usually the phones I normally get don't come with that option. The display is really good, too.
So far, it has not froze once. I had a razr before, so that is a major upgrade, but my razr froze a lot, so I am really happy with that. The wifi is really good. It loads really fast.
The only bad thing about the phone is that it does has limited memory, but if you get the 2 GB, then it is okay and plus I have a memory card. Another con is the battery life. If you use the phone a lot for texting, internet, email, etc., then the battery will run out fast. I use it a lot for those things, so it will go from 5 bars to 3 bars within about a day maybe day and a half, but I am used to charging my phone every night when I go to bed, so it doesn't really bother me. If you don't use the phone as much as I would, then the battery will last a few days. It doesn't come with many apps, and pretty much all of the apps you have to pay for them, so that bad I guess, but it doesn't bother me.
If you like texting and other things that a smartphone can do, then this phone is perfect for you. I would recommend it to anyone. Teens would especially like it.

I've had this phone for almost a year now (I got it when it first came out on AT&T). It was my first smartphone, and I am very impressed.
Build quality and feel: It's a solid phone. No cheap plastic feel, it feels very durable and well built. It's ridiculously thin, 10 mm. Before the iPhone 4 came out (9.4 mm), it was probably the thinnest smartphone ever. You barely notice it's in your pocket.
Keyboard: I know some people complain about the small keys. I don't have any problems, although I have smaller fingers. The keys have a curved surface, so you can feel each individual key. It takes a little bit of time to get used to, if you're a heavy texter. For stuff like writing short emails and browsing it's fine.
Battery life: The battery life is amazing. I can go for 3 to 4 days without charging my battery (although if you leave wifi on, it does use up more battery). The battery recharges really quickly. I plug it in for 15 minutes, and I got 2 more bars of life. You can only charge with the wall charger, and not with the included PC cable.
Operating system: It runs Symbian OS 60 v.3. It's a very intuitive system, although a lot of the options and menus are buried, you have to go through several layers to find the setting you want to change. There is a wide selection of applications to download (although not as big as android or apple). I highly recommend getting Opera Mini, Gmail app, and Google Maps. There aren't very many good games for S60, but keep in mind this is a business oriented smart phone.
Connectivity: It has Wifi and Bluetooth. I decided to not get a data plan (I don't know if this option is still available), because I knew I didn't need to check my email all the time. Bluetooth is useful for transferring stuff to my computer without needing a cable.
Memory: the memory is limited compared with other smartphones out there right now. I definitely recommend getting a micro sd card if you like to take pictures, or store music on it.
Sound/music: The speaker is a little quiet for speakerphone. I maxed out the volume on the alarm clock, but I noticed it does this thing where it starts out really soft and gradually increases in volume. I looked everywhere, but it seems you can't change that.
It has a 2.5mm headphone jack, you'll need an adapter to use your regular 3.5mm headphones. It has a good mp3 player, although the sound quality is bad. You can hear a low hissing sound even when the music is stopped. You only hear this sound when playing music though, not while calling. I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping to be able ditch my mp3 player and just carry this phone around.
Overall: fantastic phone. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish business oriented smart phone. Not so great at playing music, but I doubt that will affect a lot of people.

I have had many phones,,my last phone was an LG shine..I didnt like the touch screen and had nokia phones before the LG..I was looking forward to getting this new phone..I have had this for about a month now and wish I had gotten something different..I have to charge everyday,,sometimes twice a day and I dont use it that much...The screen is to small to veiw anything online,,the choice of tones is horrible and the volume level is worse..You cant hear the alarm clock and thats what I use to get up in the A.M..If it wasnt for the spaker I wouldnt be able to hear the person im speaking with..If your looking for a new quality phone this is not it..
