amazing phone

this is the first smart phone i have got. i do have a lot of friends with iphones and android phones. after i got this phone, it turns their heads. its different and a change from iphone and android just copying each other. its a quick easy phone to use. all my friends with iphones and samsung and so on want to switch to this phone after seeing mine. if u are lookin for something fun, new and different in a good way go with this or any windows phone

This is a follow up review of the Lumia 900. Here is a breakdown of my day today, which is typical of my days.
I use the phone as my alarm and its set for 8:30 AM. I get up, do the daily routine shower, eat, etc and head off to work. As soon as I get to work I pull out my Grado SR 80 headphones, plug them into my Lumia 900, turn the volume up to about 16 or 17 (the head phones are over the ear and not very efficient). The headphones play for roughly 7 of the 8 hours I am at work. I use the phone to talk and take pictures and im the pictures to my work email along with the occasional internet surf.
I worked a little longer tonight and got home around 8:15ish PM. My battery life is currently at 73%. In the 6 months I have owned this phone, it has never run out of battery not only on a typical day, but a very heavy usage day. the closest I got to no charge was at 1:00 am after a 5 hour conversation after a full day of work.
The key is to turn off some of the live tile notifications that you really never use. Even then, I get all the standard email, social, im updates but if I need to see the weather, I go into the app instead of just using the live tile. The people who run out of battery fast are the people with 30 live tiles updating constantly, most of which they are never using. The phone is amazing, but there is not a phone battery in the world that will put up with that kind of usage for 15 hours straight.
This is the first phone from the day of flip phones, to my old iphone and the short stint with an android in between where I dont worry about the battery.
My intent with this phone was to use my Zune HD for music all day at work and save the battery in the phone, but there is zero need.
I love this phone and if the Lumia 920 replacing it for windows 8 works as good, I will buy the phone outright.

Q: How loud is the volume for alarm and for conversations? I have a problem hearing on some of the phones I've used. Volume for ringtone is not loud enough. Alarms on some phones will not wake me up. Latest phone I have works great in this department but has other problems.

Q: What is the LOWEST Data Plan you can purchase for this phone? I am wondering what the lowest amount i can pay for a data plan for this phone because i really do not have much money right now & am in the process of getting a different job and would rather just use my Wi-Fi since i have wi-fi in my home. So is there any way that you can give me a little information on that? Just curious if i can pay something like $10 or $15 instead of having to do $25 or $30.

Q: How long does this phone take to charge? I've heard from a few people this phone takes hours to charge and it can be quite frustrating. I am wondering if that's correct and is it going to be fixed soon?

Q: Can the Nokia Lumia 900 use Pages, Keynote or other Apple applications? I can see that from one of the pictures that it uses word, presentation....but can it open, use, and send pages or keynote documents or presentations?
