bad battery

So this phone is amazing. The only downside i have for mine so far is that it has a bad battery and it dies quickly when you play games or listen to music. mine also takes a while to turn on after i turn it off.

Not IMPRESSED/Complete let down
I decided to get this phone based on the reviews I read here. After having the phone 12 days I really don't understand the rave reviews this phone has obtained.
This is a great phone if it is your first smart phone, however, not so great if you've had other smart phones.
The phone has wi-fi which is great, saves on data. But, once you're away from a wi-fi the phone is constantly scanning in the background for available networks, even if it is connected to the AT&T network, this drains your battery. I was unaware of this until after I spoke to Palm. Only way around this is to turn the wi-fi off every time you leave your house. If you're a heavy texter, this is not for you, first there is no way to turn off the auto correct, so certain short code words automatically get changed, such as I type "u" instead of "you", phone changes that each time. Second, you will quickly tire of the small keys and how close they are. The messaging consumes a lot of battery life.
The ability to Sync contacts with Google and Yahoo and Facebook profiles is great for those that would like that, but the sync is constant, which also runs on your battery life. It freezes, almost as much as a Windows based phone.
Volume is really low, even on max volume most of the time you can barely hear it, the vibrate barely vibrates and if you're one that carries your phone in a holster you will barely feel it. There is also no way of adjusting the touchscreen's sensitivity and this brings up a bug in the system, sometimes a feathers touch will get you a respond and sometimes you have to tap it hard to get a respond.
The calendar, sometimes does not roll over once midnight comes around. So I missed several appointments because the calendar was running a day late. You end up restarting the phone to get the calendar to roll over. Restarting the phone is not as easy as the rest of the phone. It takes 3 steps to shut down the phone, simply holding the power button does not do it alone.
Calls sometimes get lost. It's not the call quality, you can hear clearly. The calls get lost because when your in phone mode, and you hold the phone to your face, the proximity sensors don't always turn off the display, so your face ends up hanging up the call.
The camera is horrible, it has auto focus and you end up either walking towards or away from the object of your photo to get it to focus. And the camera freezes a lot. The is also no way of renaming your files, the only way around this, is to connect your phone to your pc/laptop and rename them that way.
As for battery life, the webOS is actually great, however, all the features together turned on will drain your battery to the tune of charging it 3 or 4 times a day or leaving it constantly plugged in. I was able to get a full day out of my battery twice, but only after I turned off the wi-fi, all of the sync and a lot of other features as well and limited my texting to just one of two people and even then I still had to limit the amount of messages. E-Mail, forget it unless you will manually check your email. Having the phone check your email slows down the OS and again is a constant drain on your battery.
The phone also has accelerometers, letting you turn the phone around and the screen switches to landscape mode, but they don't always work. You have to hold the phone perfectly straight up and down then turn it for this to work and even then you end up going through the motion two or three times.
For a first time smart phone, this would be okay. If you need to text a lot, make a lot of phone calls and receive e-mails as they get to your inbox, I wouldn't recommend it, you will be disappointed.

This is my first smart-phone, I fell in love with it until I went to the store and saw it. It is very small, that sometimes I forget I have it in my pocket.
Anyways it freezes sometimes, but only if you have a lot of programs running at the same time. Also, the battery can be an issue because there's some days that I use my phone a lot and the battery last me but on low(It doesn't die very fast when its low) and other days its perfect.
The keys take time to get used to. But overall this phone is great, and all phones have their issues. But I recommend that you buy this phone, its worth the money.

the best phone I've ever had
the palm pixi plus is the best phone I had by far. It does everything I needed it for. Like a full keyboard and a touch screen. Also it works just like a computer. I love this phone so much I'm writin my reveiw on it and I woke up this morning ready to get on it. The battery dies a lil quicker when you text and have long calls. It's so easy to use "even a cave man could do it" this phone has everything a adult and a teen like my self needs. Also it's like an mp3 with a regular sized headphone jack.
