Great Device

I have not had any problems out of my Xperia X10A. It has been both wonderful and reliable, I am sooooo happy I chose this device over the Iphone.

Don't get

The phone freezes and sometimes the keyboard likes to take up the whole screen even on the main screen. The battery doesn't stay charged for very long. Most of the apps don't work. The pictures, music and everything is within mediascape. Then after that there are other folders you have to go through to get to what you want. The sound isn't all that great and the pictures don't always turn out to what you want. The camera will sometimes take pictures by itself. When trying to unlock it sometimes it doesn't go all the way and it takes a few tries to get it to unlock. The keyboard won't always flip over when you are holding the way you want it. For texting other letters will come up that weren't pushed.
It's just not that great of a phone. I do like Androids just not this one.

I am very happy with my X10, it is a good phone, especially for a first Android phone. Of course no phone is perfect. If you know how to use the camera, is very powerrfull, one of the best I ve ever seen. Currently running Eclair, is a huge improvement towards 1.6. The phone responds much better, plus it can run more apps that require at least 2.1. I dont expect AT&T to follow on that but Sony Erricson is going to release Gingerbread for X10 soon (They said August) and that would be like I just bought a brand new phone!!

Great alternative to the iPhone

When I was looking for phones, I refused to get an iPhone because of how much they were and they could not be insured. If your phone was lost or broken, you're SOL. This is my second Sony Ericsson phone and I haven't had any problems. Easy to use, nice bright screen, and it does everything an iPhone can, but better! Plus I have peace of mind that my phone is insured.
Prostools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
