I was told I wasn’t an authorized user, even though I called customer service twice and had it taken care of on my end. I wanted to use cash to buy in full as well, so didn’t even need to be authorized in the end. The person helping me, Rob, was rude, unprofessional and dismissive. After waiting over an hour, he told me he couldn’t help and wouldn’t risk “losing his job” when all I wanted to do was buy a new phone, paid fully in cash and not even trying to use an upgrade. I then went to another AT&T store and was able to get my new phone bought and set up in 20 minutes. They were very friendly and helpful and had no problems helping me out at all.
