About the voicemail authentication code

You use your authentication code to recover or reset your voicemail PIN. It's not the same as the six-digit voicemail PIN used to access your messages. Keep your authentication code in a safe place.

Good to know: Set up your voicemail PIN before creating an authentication code. You'll need your authentication code when setting up voicemaill.

Set up your authentication code

Dial *98 from your digital phone.
Press 4 for mailbox settings.
Press 2 for administrative options.
Press 1 for security and hands-free.
Press 4 for authentication code.
Press 1 to create or change.
Select which birthday to enter:
- Mother - press 1
- Father – press 2
- Spouse – press 3
- Child – press 4
Enter the 8-digit date of birth (MMDDYYYY).
Re-enter the 8-digit date to confirm and return to the security options menu.
