Learn about Wi-Fi Alerts

Get notified when a Wi-Fi network you join might not be safe.

Wi-Fi Alerts devices

AT&T Mobile Security Plus1 comes with Wi-Fi Alerts. When your device connects to a new Wi-F network, Wi-Fi Alerts runs a series of health checks on the network to make sure it’s working properly. If the app detects anything unsafe, it gives you details or the option to disconnect from the network.

Heads up: AT&T Mobile Security Plus requires a monthly subscription.

Set up Wi-Fi Alerts

  1. In the Mobile Security Plus app, tap Wi-Fi Security.
  2. Tap Set up.
  3. Follow the prompts.
Once you set up Wi-Fi security and alerts, AT&T Mobile Security sends a pop-up notification if you connect to a potentially unsafe network. You can:
  • Select View more information to get details about the network and possible risks.
  • Select Disconnect to immediately disconnect from the network.
