Using your Calculator
From the Home screen, swipe to Calculator.
Tap Calculator.
To perform basic math problems, use the Number pad to enter an equation, then tap the Equals sign to calculate it.
To perform scientific equations, tap the Calculator icon.
Tap Scientific.
The Scientific calculator can perform more complex equations, including factorials, square roots, and more.
To perform math by hand, tap the Calculator icon.
Tap Math Notes.
Tap the Note field.
You can use the keyboard to manually type equations in conjunction with other text.
Tap the Pencil icon.
Using your finger or Apple Pencil, write the equation you'd like to solve.
Once a full equation with all necessary symbols is detected, Math Notes will solve it in your handwriting. Math Notes can solve both horizontal and vertical math equations.
To view your math history, tap the Calculator icon to return to the basic Calculator.
Tap Basic
Tap the Sidebar icon.
From this menu you can view a history of your inputs and solved equations. Tap Edit to delete unwanted entries.
Tap the Sidebar icon again to close the sidebar.
To convert your results to different units, tap the Calculator icon.
Tap Convert.
To change the units you're converting, select a unit.
From this menu, you can select what units of measurement to convert. Convert will calculate different world currencies by default.
