In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
 

• Access messages
• Compose & send a message
• View a message or attachment
• Respond to a message
• Delete a message

 

When a new message is received, the New Message icon New Message icon will display in the Notification bar.
 

 

Access messages

1. From the home screen, press the Select button to access the Messaging app.

2. Press the Center Dynamic key to select New.

Compose & send a message

Compose and send a message using the following options as desired:

• ENTER RECIPIENT: Press the navigation keys to highlight the 'To' field, then use the keypad to enter the desired contact. With the 'To' field highlighted, press the Center Dynamic key to select Add to add a contact from the contacts list. 
• ENTER MESSAGE: Press the navigation keys to highlight the 'Message' field, then use the keypad to enter the desired message.
• ADD ATTACHMENT: With the 'Message' field highlighted, press the Left Dynamic key to select Options, then press the navigation keys to highlight either Attach photos/videos or Attach others and press the Select button.
• SEND A MESSAGE: When finished composing a message, highlight the 'Message' field and press the Center Dynamic key to select Send to send the message.

Note: To add additional recipient(s) and create a Group Message, enter the additional contact(s) then press the navigation key to highlight the 'Message' field. To remove recipient(s), press the Back button to delete the desired contact(s). 
 
 

View a message or attachment

VIEW A MESSAGE: From the Messaging inbox, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired message thread, then press the Select button to select.

VIEW AN ATTACHMENT: To view an attachment, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired attachment, then press the Select button to select.

SAVE AN ATTACHMENT: While viewing the attachment, press the Right Dynamic key to select Save.

Respond to a message


From the desired message, select the desired option.

REPLY: Press the navigation keys to highlight the 'Message' field, then use the keypad to enter the desired message. When finished, press the Center Dynamic key to select Send.

FORWARD: Press the navigation keys to highlight the desired message, then press the Center Dynamic key to select Forward. Follow the prompts to forward the message.

Delete a message

From the desired message thread, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired message then press the Right Dynamic key to select Delete. Press the Center Dynamic key to select Delete to confirm.

DELETE MESSAGE THREAD: From the Messages screen, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired message thread, then press the Left Dynamic key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Delete selected thread, then press the Select button to select.

Note: You will be prompted to press the Center Dynamic key to select Delete again to confirm.

Tips

By default, attachments will be saved to the Gallery app. To view saved attachments, from the home screen press the Center Dynamic key to access the Menu > press the navigation keys and the Select button to navigate to Applications > Gallery > Download folder.
